Origins

Oasis' story started in 1991, when Liam Gallagher joined a local band in Manchester called The Rain and brought in his older brother Noel.

Together, they transformed the group into Oasis - a swaggering, working-class rock act with global ambitions.

Noel later said: “We were a gang - and we were going to take over the world.”
