David Bowie’s triumphant 2000 return
David Bowie’s Sunday night set on the Pyramid Stage in 2000 is widely regarded as one of the greatest festival performances of all time. Returning to Glastonbury 29 years after his debut there, the Thin White Duke captivated 100,000 people with a greatest-hits-filled set, including Heroes, Life on Mars and Let’s Dance.
Organiser Emily Eavis later called it “the best moment in Glastonbury history.”
