Leslie Knope - Parks and Recreation

We wouldn't even have Galentine's Day if it weren't for Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler).

Leslie is the deputy director of the Parks and Recreation Department of the fictional city of Pawnee, Indiana, and is committed to the city's locals.

But she is more committed to Galentine's Day.

In the first ever Galentine's Day episode of 'Parks and Recreation', Leslie said: "What's Galentine's Day? Oh, it's only the best day of the year. Every February 13, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it breakfast style. Ladies celebrate ladies. It's like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas."
