In the thriller ‘Salt’ - in which Jolie plays an FBI agent accused of being a Russian spy - the Hollywood star did every complicated twist, flip, and even teetered on a ledge atop a 12-storey building.

She mastered the fight scenes by undertaking four two-hour sessions every week in martial arts.

Stunt coordinator Simon Crane told The Los Angeles Times newspaper: "She's absolutely fearless when it comes to high places. That's a fantastic asset to have."
