Danielle's death wish

Prepare yourselves for this one… when asked if they had pitched any ideas for the final season Danielle Savre exclusively revealed that she had pitched a storyline for Maya to die in the line of duty! She explained that she loves Maya so much but pitched her passing so that Stefania Spampinato would be free to re-join the cast of 'Grey’s Anatomy' and potentially date Dr. Amelia Shepherd! TV wives looking out for each other on and off the screen! THANKFULLY co-showrunner Peter Paige put a stop to that idea and instead the series ended with Maya and Carina living happily together! (Thank you Peter! …and Danielle please don’t ever put that concept out there again).
