The ‘9 to 5’ hitmaker took the opportunity to pose for the October 1978 cover in the iconic Playboy outfit complete with bunny ears and bowtie.

The country music icon was 32 at the time and wanted to strategically promote her 20th album ‘Heartbreaker’.

What’s more, Dolly wanted to pose for Playboy again for her 75th birthday but the issue never came to light.

In a radio interview with BBC, she revealed: “I just might do it. If I can do it in good taste, and they (Playboy) want it. I will do it, along with a really good interview inside.”
