Michael Jackson
Famously, Michael Jackson had a pet chimpanzee who he affectionally called Bubbles.
The ‘Beat It’ hitmaker purchased the ape in 1983 when Bubbles was eight months old.
Michael would dress his pet chimp in the same clothes as him and Bubbles would accompany him to various showbiz events.
However, the singer eventually could no longer care for Bubbles properly once he became too large and showed aggressive tendencies. In 1989, Bubbles was given to a Californian ranch owned by trainer Bob Dunn, before he was relocated to Florida’s Center for Great Apes in 2005.
Bubbles spends his days enjoy painting and listening to flute music.
Even after Michael’s death in 2009, his estate continues to provide finance support for the late singer’s beloved pet.
