2005: Helena Paparizou – My Number One

The Swedish/Greek singer’s Mediterranean hit is still a number one amongst Eurovision fans.

Paparizou’s win was a first victory for Greece in the history of the competition. Elena’s contemporary dance routine complimented the traditional Greek music, which featured solo instrumentals using a Cretan lyra and a bouzouki.

A music video was released following her victory which went straight to number one in Greece and Sweden.
