As he is soaking up praise for his sci-fi epic 'Dune: Part Two', Denis Villeneuve has argued that the "scope and scale" of blockbusters is what will keep cinema afloat, as Netflix cannot replace the excitement of seeing a huge movie on a big screen.

He said: “Streaming alone can’t sustain the film industry.”
