'Captain Marvel' actress Brie Larson has been playing video games from an early age.

It's no surprise, then, that she's condemned trolls for hating on female gamers and challenged the negative stigma.

She said: "I mean even in my earliest baby videos, I had a Nintendo console.

"My earliest memories are playing ‘The Little Mermaid’, playing ‘Volleyball', playing ‘Super Mario Bros’... All of my Christmas memories are getting the latest consoles like the [Nintendo] DS [My mom, sister and I] were all into games, and this was before social media, so it wasn't like there was this stigma. By the time I was hearing that there was any sort of issue about anybody not being included in the gaming community, I was like 'this is ridiculous.'"

Brie even starred in an advertising campaign for Nintendo Switch.

She was seen in the commercial playing some of her favorite titles such as 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons'.
