The plot will explore Furiosa's past and how she became a war captain for Immortan Joe, who she ultimately betrays in 'Fury Road'.

In 2021, director Miller teased that the movie would make quite a few notable departures from the 2015 flick.

He said: "The one thing I can say about it, 'Fury Road' ... within the film, happened over three days and two nights. This is a saga, happens over many years. So, there's a lot of different elements to it."
