Breakthrough role in Lady Macbeth

After her debut role in the 2014 drama 'Falling', Florence landed her breakout role in the 2016 film 'Lady Macbeth.

Her role was as Katherine Lester, an unhappily married bride who grows increasingly violent.

It was then she remarked how she likes to take on characters with "confusing or at least interesting" motivations.

It would land her the BIFA Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a British Independent Film.
