Susan Sarandon
The ‘Thelma and Louise’ star split from her third husband Tim Robbins, 65, in 2009.
Sarandon - who has two sons Miles, 31, and Jack, 34, with Tim - described “single life” as a whirlwind but it makes you prioritise yourself, something she hadn't always done.
The 77-year-old actress said: "It's traumatic and exhilarating. The one thing that's been really clear to me is that you have to think of your own life and your relationship and everything as a living organism. It's constantly moving, changing, growing."
Sarandon was married to her first husband Chris Sarandon between 1967 and 1979, although they split in 1975.
In the mid-80s she was in a relationship with Italian filmmaker Franco Amurri, with whom she had a daughter Eva, 38.
Susan also had relationships with Sean Penn and David Bowie.
