The 27-year-old singer - whose real name is Ella Yelich-O’Connor - confirmed speculation that the Instagram account @onionringsworldwide was run by her while appearing on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon'.

Lorde started the onion ring appreciation page to give the fried snack the respect they deserve.

In 2017, she said: “They're my favorite. I think they're underrated. I don't think they get enough credit for how delicious they are."
