Unfortunately for Amanda, her most embarrassing drunk story was captured live on TV.

The 'Mamma Mia!' star appeared on 'The Late Show With David Letterman’ to promote her 2012 movie ‘Les Misérables’, only to admit that she was totally wasted.

She confessed: "Yeah, I'm pretty drunk ... I'm a big fan of whiskey.”

Amanda then admitted she relied on alcohol to calm her nerves before TV interviews.

She said: ”I have to go on record saying I've never done a live television after, um, noon without some kind of liquid courage."
