The ‘Holy’ hitmaker cited pop superstar Lady Gaga, 37, as an inspiration for their decision to come out as non-binary and use they/them pronouns.

In an interview with Sam magazine, Sam said: "When I hit 14, 15, I started to really question my gender and started to really want to express myself. Makeup for me was the way to do that. It doesn't matter whatever gender you are, you know, it's a form of expression and it feels nice.”
