Alicia Keys: Alicia Augello-Cook

The singer/songwriter wanted a more musical moniker to add some razzle dazzle.

She would have settled for Alicia Wild but after being discouraged by her mother who said it sounded like a stripper she went with Keys instead.

She said: "It's like the piano keys. And it can open so many doors.”
