Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard

Maggie Gyllenhaal, 45, and Peter Sarsgaard, 52, tied the knot back in 2009.

Maggie directed her man when she made her directorial debut on ‘The Lost Daughter’. Speaking on ‘The View’, Maggie admitted that she initially hesitated about doing it, thinking that "maybe it's not a great idea".

She added: "I've been with my husband for a long time. We've been through so much. I know my husband loves me. Who could do this better than him? Really, nobody."

As for Peter, he had no issue.

Joking in an interview with NME, he said: "I've been recommending this to absolutely everyone. I don't think there's any relationship that wouldn't be helped by it! The nice thing about it is seeing someone else adore your spouse.”
