Julie Bowen is famous across the globe for playing Claire Dunphy on ‘Modern Family.

The 53-year-old actress was diagnosed with bradycardia in her early 20s, a cardiovascular condition that can cause your heartbeat to drop dangerously low.

Julie got a pacemaker implantation surgery and has been healthy and well ever since.

Speaking in 2011 she revealed that she does not “hear or feel” the pacemaker, and admitting she feels lucky and grateful "to live during a time when the technology exists to treat my condition".

She added: “It serves as a monitor for me."
