"Cheesy" Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco marked their first anniversary by watching their wedding video in their pyjamas.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco marked their first anniversary by watching their wedding video in their pyjamas.
The couple tied the knot on September 27, 2025, and to mark one year since their big day, they enjoyed a "sweet" but "cheesy" day together.
Asked what they did for their anniversary, Selena told Extra: "It's so sweet. We actually just ate a piece of cake and watched videos in our pyjamas.”
Asked what videos they were watching, she clarified: “The wedding videos! We’re so cheesy.”
Meanwhile, Selena called for better mental health services and support for young people as she attended her fourth annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit, which seeks to increase access to such youth services.
She said: "We started this, I mean, before we even sold the product, it was important for us to create this impact fund because we know exactly what’s needed. And in my millennial era, to my sister’s alpha, it's just more than ever, people need and young people need the support that they just can’t find.”
The Rare Beauty founder has spoken openly about her own struggles with bipolar disorder and thinks it is "important" for people to know that everyone has their problems and it is "okay" to have difficult days.
She said: “I think it’s important for people to know that sometimes things look a lot shinier in pictures and that it’s okay to feel not okay sometimes and where you can turn and the people that you really can depend on, and hopefully Rare can have a good community that people can feel safe.”
This year has seen the deaths of a number of young people in Hollywood, including model Presley Gerber, Breaking Bad actor R.J. Mitte, and Chad Lowe's daughter Fiona, and Selena admitted she feels "so sad" about their passing, but she still has hope.
She said: “It’s actually making me so sad. This is getting really hard to even look through the news, but I’m grateful we have things like this because it does remind people that we can take a step forward, slowly but surely.”
When asked if things are getting any better, she replied: “Oh, I don’t know. I don’t even know if I have that answer, unfortunately. I wish I did, but I just hope for the best.”
