The This Is Us star has injected a much deeper and endless range of emotions into his work since he and his 42-year-old wife, model Jarah Mariano, welcomed their 13-month-old daughter, Ke'ala Coral, into the world in January 2025.
Milo, 48, told People: "The well of understanding emotions and being able to convey them just bottoms out, and it's infinite.
"It's a pretty wild experience being able to take that new fatherhood and new family and plug it into my work."
In January 2025, the Heroes actor and Jarah - who secretly got married in early 2023 - welcomed Ke'ala into the world - a fortnight after the couple lost their home in the California wildfires.
And the disaster derailed Milo's plans to become a "wonderparent".
Appearing on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this month, Milo explained to the 58-year-old host: "Listen, my wife is the most unbelievable - Jarah, if you’re watching, you are the most unbelievable human being, creature, species of everything. She handles everything great.
"But you know, I mean, when you’re a first parent too, you kind of think you’re going to be this wonderparent.
"I was striving to. I’m like, 'Cool man, I’m going to be the healthiest, we’re going to feed this baby organic, we’re going to buy blenders, do all this stuff, we’re going to go argue with some dude named Kale about blueberries at the farmers’ market.'
"Then after a while you’re like, ‘Oh, man, we had quite a year' ...
"If anybody doesn’t know, we lost our home in the fires in Malibu top of the year. It’s okay, it happened, thank you. Two weeks later, got the best blessing and our daughter was born.
"Six weeks later, on the road to do this movie that is coming out this month, I Can Only Imagine 2. Literally on the road ...
"While you’re on the road, you’re like: 'Where’s my blender?’ It’s dawn. You’re not making organic foods anymore."
As Ke'ala celebrated her first birthday on January 24, Milo and Jarah - who were first linked in 2022 - announced they are expecting their second child together.
Jarah took to Instagram and shared a photo of herself flaunting her baby bump in a bikini as she held onto Ke'ala in the ocean during a trip to Hawaii.
The post was captioned: "Happy 1 year baby girl. When you came into my life I had 2 distinct thoughts, one immediately after the other - I would die for you in a heartbeat, but now I also have to live as long as I possibly can to be around to make sure you’re safe.
"This is the most unique love I’ve ever experienced, just as unique of a soul you are.
"In a world with so much fear and hatred, I know that you will bring your radiating light everywhere you go to make it a better and brighter place for those around you.
"I love you Ke’ala Coral, forever x Mama. (sic)"
