Kerry Katona admits her son Max is "very much like his mum" when it comes to falling in love.

The 45-year-old star - who has her 17-year-old son and his sister Heidi, 18, with her ex-husband Mark Croft - has revealed her teenager has got a tattoo in tribute to his girlfriend Pearl, while the former Atomic Kitten singer is excited to meet her parents.

She wrote in her column for New! magazine: "I'm really looking forward to going to a black-tie charity boxing match with Max and his girlfriend Pearl, plus Pearl's mum and dad. We've never met her parents before.

"Max and Pearl have been together for about a year - he's got her tattooed on his arm!

"He's very much like his mum - he falls in love and he falls hard!"

Kerry - who also has daughters Molly, 24, and Lilly-Sue, 22, with first husband Brian McFadden, and 11-year-old daughter DJ with her late third husband, George Kay - admitted Max has gone all out for Pearl when it comes to her Christmas parents.

She added: "He's spoiled her for Christmas.

"When I asked if he'd got me anything he went, 'I'll give you your present now.' Do you know what it is? Toothpicks!

"But I do love them - I'm always picking my teeth when I've eaten."

Meanwhile, Kerry is enjoying her new romance with Paolo Margaglione after hey met on the set of reality TV series Celebs Go Dating.

Last week, they attended the Beauty Awards in London together, which marked her man's "first red carpet appearance".

She said: "He said it was amazing, but very different to anything he'd been to before. I don't think he could get over the flashes of the cameras!

"I thought I looked s*** hot and my man had the most beautiful suit from Owen Scott Bespoke."

Kerry is loving the couple's blended families, as Paolo has two daughters, and they both enjoy spending time with each other's kids.

She added: "On Sunday, we went for a roast with all the children, apart form Max because he had to work, and Paolo's dad and stepmum, which was absolutely lovely.

"Our family is expanding, which I love. I've always wanted a big family."
