Crash Bandicoot ‘Netflix series in the works’
An animated Crash Bandicoot series is reportedly in the works at Netflix.
Crash Bandicoot could to star in his first-ever animated series on Netflix.
According to What’s on Netflix, Canadian animation house WildBrain Studios - best known for Sonic Prime, Carmen Sandiego, and Camp Snoopy - is developing the project in collaboration with Activision Blizzard.
WildBrain’s work on Sonic Prime has earned praise for its sharp visuals and faithful storytelling, leading insiders to believe the supposed Crash Bandicoot show is in good hands.
The series is said to be a comedic, high-energy adaptation featuring Crash, Coco, and Dr. Neo Cortex, blending slapstick action with the franchise’s signature cartoon chaos.
While Netflix has not yet confirmed the show publicly, industry sources suggest it’s in early production with a tentative 2026 release window.
If confirmed, this would mark the first official Crash Bandicoot TV series.
Previous attempts - including a 2021 collaboration between Activision and Amazon that reportedly fell apart over creative differences - never made it past the pilot stage, though leaked test footage later surfaced online.
The news follows a quiet spell for the franchise.
Developer Toys for Bob, the studio behind Crash 4: It’s About Time and Crash Team Rumble, went independent earlier this year, but hinted at a continued partnership with Microsoft.
Whether a new Crash game is in the works remains unclear, but it seems the bandicoot’s next big adventure will be on the small screen.
