Lucien Laviscount "doesn't necessarily" believe in marriage.

The Emily in Paris actor doesn't have fixed ideas of what the future holds for him in terms of having a family of his own, but he doesn't think going through the formal process of a wedding is essential to prove a lasting commitment.

Asked if he sees marriage or children in the future, he told People magazine: "Whatever happens happens, yeah. I think it depends on the person, depends on the time.

"I don’t necessarily believe you need a piece of paper to show that you love someone.

"I’ll say it this way, my parents got married two years ago. They’ve been together for 40 plus years. So it’s like the idea of what marriage is to me is my partner, it’s a commitment that we are going to be there for each other forever.

"And kids, I’d love to be a father, but at the same time, if it happens, it happens."
