Celebrities who care for a vast array of animals

'Anything with four legs is welcome here': Celebrities with plenty of animals

Woody Harrelson has revealed his surprise at discovering that Hollywood legend Robert De Niro owns 18 dogs.

However, the Taxi Driver star is far from the only celebrity to have a vast array of animals – as this gallery proves.

Millie Bobby Brown

The Stranger Things star and her husband Jake Bongiovi look after a plethora of animals on their farm in rural Georgia.

Millie told BBC Radio 1 last year: "I have 25 farm animals, and then I have 23 foster dogs, and then I have 10 dogs in my house that are my personal dogs and four cats."

She even revealed that her dogs sleep in "real single beds".

Martha Stewart

The businesswoman cares for a host of animals on her estate in New York, including dogs, cats, peacocks, chickens, horses, donkeys and geese.

Martha said of the peacocks in a 2023 interview with People: "They're very friendly birds – and they talk to me.

"Whenever I go by their enclosure, I talk to them. I go, 'Awk, awk.' I make their noise, and they talk right back to me."

Amanda Seyfried

The Testament of Ann Lee actress and her family care for horses, chickens, cats, goats, donkeys, ducks and dogs on their animal rescue farm in upstate New York.

In an 2019 interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Amanda said: "I love animals and I love to be surrounded by them, and I wanted space.

"I love the countryside and the forest. I grew up in suburbia. I always wanted to ride horses and we didn't have the funds to do that. I do ride horses now."

Ariana Grande

The Hate That I Made You Love Me singer is said to have taken in over 10 rescue dogs and even adopted a pet micro pig named Piggy Smallz with her then-fiancé Pete Davidson in 2018.

Ariana once told the Daily Mirror: "I love animals more than I love most people, not kidding."

Lisa Vanderpump

The Vanderpump Rules star has horses, swans and dogs and even made an appearance as a celebrity judge on Rebel Wilson's dog grooming show Pooch Perfect in 2021.

Lisa told People at the time: "I think people just think of me when they think of dogs."
