Taylor Swift's heartfelt declaration for Travis Kelce on her new song

Taylor Swift declared Travis Kelce the "love of [her] life" in new song Cleveland!.

The 36-year-old singer released the expanded The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore on Friday (25.09.26) and she has paid tribute to her new husband - who she married in July - on one of the songs, which is named after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's home city.

The track opens with Taylor taking aim at her critics.

She sings: "She's not as hot as she was, but she was only a four / She was never a girls' girl, she was just a... / And with all of that money, why's she dressed like trash? / When she smiles, it's annoying, and have you seen her / Stumbling clumsily? / Would you even call that dancing?"

And later, she addresses her love for Travis.

She sings: "Something we all can agree on / But my baby likes what he likes. / He already took me to Cleveland / And showed me The Heights, so hate all you like / This is the love of my life."

The bridge to the song adds: "You only need to find one person in this entire world / Who doesn't find you completely insufferable / And I have an important announcement to make / I found mine."

New single Patient Zero sees Taylor offering a shoulder to cry on for an ex's new partner, prompting fans to speculate she is referencing the support she offered Sophie Turner in the wake of her split from husband Joe Jonas in 2023.

Taylor sings: "If you wanna party with somebody who might know / About the devil on his shoulder under his halo / When the toxins take their hold, you'd rather die than let it go / But if you’re sick of him, I got you, I was patient zero."

Pink Clouding sees Taylor regret the way she treated a "good" former partner.

She sings: "Years later, I still wonder how to tell you sorry / I didn't wanna let you down / So I left you up there on a, pink cloud."

Another lyric from the song is: "I hope / You realised my kind of trouble wasn't worth it / And the way I treated you, you never deserved it / And I swear to God, to this day / I wake up scared that I left scars on a good person."

In Babylon, Taylor reflects on hindsight in love and lamenting "missing all the best parts" of a past relationship.

She sings: "You never knew that it was Babylon 'til it was gone."

After confirming Patient Zero was on the way on Tuesday (22.09.26), Taylor revealed shortly afterwards that the track would be part of an expanded edition of The Life of a Showgirl.

She wrote on Instagram alongside the artwork: "About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind… You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history. I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album. Really we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs. I hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made.
