Dwayne Johnson hires his daughter Simone in new career move after WWE exit
Simone Johnson spent six years with WWE until the beginning of 2026, and now she has started another career for dad Dwayne Johnson's Seven Bucks Productions.
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson hired his daughter Simone as a "junior executive" after she left WWE.
The wrestling legend and Hollywood star, who had Simone with his ex-wife Dany Garcia, has got his 25-year-old daughter into another branch of the family business by giving her a job at Seven Bucks Productions, which he runs with her mother.
Simone, who was known as Ava to WWE fans, announced she was walking away from the wrestling business in January 2026.
Now, she has told Cody Rhodes' What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast: "So I work under Seven Bucks Productions now, and I think my official title is junior executive, I believe, which is a fancy way to say that I get to read scripts and take notes and sit in on so many meetings with incredible writers and producers and directors.
"And I feel so lucky. There’s so much that I thought I knew about the entertainment industry, and then getting to learn so much more has been so eye-opening.
"And they’re not lying when they say making a movie is the hardest thing in the world. My gosh. Truly."
When Cody suggested Simone was actually performing executive duties despite her job title, she agreed.
She added: "Truly. Every time that I get to sit in on a meeting, whether it’s an internal meeting at Seven Bucks or we’re taking meetings with other directors or producers, I always feel like I learn so much.
"Like, I leave those meetings, and I’m like, ‘Okay, where do we go from this? What does this look like? Now what does this look like?’ It’s like you said, it’s invaluable. I think that’s the perfect word."
As Ava, Simone became a fourth generation wrestling star when she signed with WWE in 2020, but after six years she called time on her carer.
She admitted walking away from WWE was an "incredibly" tough decision, but after trying her hand at an in-ring career and transitioning into an on-screen 'general manager' character, she wanted to move on.
Simone explained: "It had been something that I had been thinking about for about a year. I knew my contract was up in February.
"A couple things had been happening. There are a lot of different reasons why I chose to leave. It was incredibly hard, but I felt like it was time.
"I really wanted to grow, and I didn’t feel like I was in a position at WWE to where I could grow. I’m incredibly grateful for my time there, would not change it for the world, but I knew I needed to do something else."
