Jon Bon Jovi sparked concern amongst fans on Thursday night (23.07.26) after abruptly cutting his New York concert short because he was “hurt”.

According to a concertgoer at the Madison Square Garden gig, the 64-year-old rocker called time on the concert - the eighth in a scheduled nine-night residency at the venue - after 90 minutes, telling the crowd: “I’m sorry. I’m hurt and you’re not getting the best of me.”

He later told the audience: “Don’t throw away your ticket stubs, I’m gonna figure something out, OK? Just hold onto it, we’ll figure out how to reschedule.

“But I’m gonna have to cool it for the night. I feel great. I’ll see you again soon, goodnight.”

Despite their obvious disappointment, the crowd cheered as Jon exited the stage after hugging fellow band members and giving the audience a thumbs up.

A spokesperson for the singer later said in a statement that the Livin’ On A Prayer star was battling a sinus infection.

The representative said: “Jon Bon Jovi spoke from stage and told fans he has been battling a sinus infection which led to the show’s early ending.

“As part of the Bon Jovi residency at Madison Square Garden, Jon has said numerous times that it has been a joy to return to live shows for the band.”
