Anne Hathaway hopes all her children grow up to be as 'wonderful' as her 'dream son' Tom Holland
Anne Hathaway wants her kids to be like Tom Holland when they are older, because he was a "dream son" on The Odyssey.
Anne Hathaway hopes all her children grow up to be as "wonderful" as her "dream son" Tom Holland.
The 43-year-old actress plays Penelope, the mother of the Spider-Man star's Telemachus in Sir Christopher Nolan's upcoming epic The Odyssey and Anne - who has Jonathan, 10, and Jack, six, and is pregnant with her and husband Adam Shulman's third child - was very impressed by her younger co-star.
In a joint interview with Tom, 30, when asked about bringing her "mother energy" to the film, she told CTV's e-talk: “Well, first of all, I have to say as a mom in real life, I very much hope all of my children grow up to be as wonderful as my onscreen child.
“Tom is like a dream son. And that, honestly, is kind of like the key to it. We have this amazing script, brilliant actors.”
As Tom almost spat out his drink with laughter, she added: “But also, I just really like Tom."
Anne admitted she, Tom, and Matt Damon - who plays her husband Odysseus in the film - bonded together in wanting to impress their director.
She said: “And I love Chris, and so I just feel like even though this was this big, epic movie, it was really grounded in, like, intimate appreciation of each other, respect for each other.
“I don’t think any of us wanted to let Chris down. So I think we all just kind of harnessed our highest strength and our highest passion, and we just tried to be an actor that was worthy of being in a Chris Nolan movie.”
