No Camera Please! Here are 5 Celebrities Who Don't Do Selfies
Please, no photos! These stars just don't take selfies with their fans...
Wicked star Bowen Yang just had to say no when an enthusiastic fan wanted a selfie "in the smelliest tent at Coachella with the porta potties".
Bowen is not the only celebrity who has had to tell over-enthusiastic admirers to back off when it comes to photos.
Find out which stars are not selfless when it comes to selfies...
Joaquin Phoenix
The Joker actor would rather have a conversation with a fan instead of taking a selfie.
Recalling a moment with a female fan, Phoenix told Playboy magazine: "I said, 'You know what? I don't do that, but thanks so much for coming up...' We chatted a bit. It was fun. Then she went and bought her tube socks, and I bought my stupid little sweatpants, and that was it."
Scarlett Johansson
The Marvel actress is prepared to upset fans by saying no to photos, because she doesn't want to be a movie star 24/7.
She told InStyle magazine: "It really offends a lot of people. It doesn't mean I'm not appreciative, of course, that people are fans, or happy to see me. But I always say to people, ‘I'm not working'. I don't want to be identified as being in this time and place with you. I'm doing my own thing."
Emily Blunt
The Disclosure Day actress says social media has ruined fan interactions for her, because photos are more the person getting likes than a genuine meeting between fan and actress.
Blunt told Vanity Fair magazine: "Social media has changed the landscape so an encounter with you is valued more as a social media currency than a genuine interaction."
Kit Harington
Kit Harington has an army of fans thanks to his role as Jon Snow in Game of Thrones but he doesn't dish out selfies because he's not a pop star.
Speaking to The Guardian, he said: "The photo thing. It feels like being Bieber or something. You just have to [decline] otherwise you start feeling like a mannequin.”
Chris Pratt
The Guardians of the Galaxy actor prefers not to take selfies.
Pratt would rather greet them with a handshake and some kind words.
He told Us Weekly in 2017: "If I go out and want to do normal things, I have to be comfortable disappointing people. So I just don't take pictures with people. Because that's not about enjoying the moment; it's about stealing the moment to brag about later. So I say, 'Would you settle for a handshake?' And then they take the picture anyway!"
