'I don't actually enjoy looking at myself': These actors REFUSE to watch themselves on screen

However, this list shows she is far from the only performer who hasn't tuned in to watch their own work.
Ellen Pompeo
The Grey's Anatomy star explained that she doesn't often rewatch episodes of the long-running ABC medical drama, in which she plays the lead role of Dr. Meredith Grey, and has only done so when directing episodes of the show.
Speaking on her Tell Me with Ellen Pompeo podcast in 2022, the 56-year-old actress said: "I haven't really seen most of them, I've watched only a handful.
"The few times I've directed, I went back and watched some old episodes."
Rupert Grint
The 37-year-old actor portrayed Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter franchise but revealed that he only watched the early movies based on J.K. Rowling's wizardry saga.
He told Variety in 2021: "I've probably seen the first three at the premieres, but after that, I stopped watching them.
"But now that I have a daughter, I will probably have to watch them with her."
Adam Driver
The Star Wars actor also vowed to stop watching himself on screen after being left "mortified" at seeing back his portrayal of Adam Sackler in the HBO TV series Girls.
He told the New Yorker magazine in 2019: "That's when I was, like, I can't watch myself in things. I certainly can't watch this if we're going to continue doing it."
The 42-year-old star even went to the lengths of hiding in the greenroom during a screening of the 2018 movie BlacKkKlansman – which he appeared in.
Busy Phillips
The 46-year-old actress played Audrey Liddell in later seasons of teen drama Dawson's Creek but has never watched the show.
The Freaks and Geeks star said in 2018: "I never watched Dawson's Creek. I didn't watch it before I was on the show and I barely watched it after I was on the show, so I don't have the same connection that other people have to it."
Helena Bonham Carter
The King's Speech star has never seen her extensive list of film and TV work as she acts for the enjoyment of others.
The 60-year-old actress told The Telegraph newspaper back in 2009: "It's not like I am going to do exactly the same part next year, so what's the point?
"I love acting because I love doing it. You do it so other people can watch it if they want to watch it."
