Brooke Shields feels "proud" of her daughters "for being their own people".

The 60-year-old star has daughters Rowan, 22, and Grier, 20, with her husband Chris Henchy, and Brooke admits that she's loved watching her children find their own way in the world.

Brooke - who has been married to Chris since 2001, having previously been married to tennis star Andre Agassi - told People: "You know, they're okay and, and then you just get so proud of them, not of anything you did, but you just get proud of them, you know, for being their own people and being confident and, and trying things that they didn't know they knew how to do."

Brooke previously admitted to becoming "more lenient" with her daughters over time.

The film star revealed that her parenting style has evolved over the years.

During an appearance on Today with Jenna and Friends, Brooke explained: "Holiday plans have sort of all been overtaken by my daughters’ friends. So they’re all coming to our house. And what’s been interesting this time is that there's boyfriend situations, and there’s only so many beds. And it’s a discussion."
