Kesha turned her mother's placenta into a necklace.

The 39-year-old pop star has revealed her mom Rosemary ordered doctors not to throw away her placenta when she gave birth to her daughter explaining the new mother took it home, baked it and stored it in a box in the family's basement for two decades before Kesha rediscovered it and had it made into a piece of jewellery that she now carries everywhere with her.

The Tik Tok star made the revelation during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast after she lost the necklace during the interview. Kesha explained: "So your placenta supposedly gives you second sight, helps open your third eye. This is according to my mother. So she stuck it in the oven. She put it in a box, and she found it when I was like 21 years old in the basement ...

"She fought for that [to stop the doctors throwing it away], so now I carry it around ... "

She added of making the placenta into jewellery: "Throw it in the blender, pop it in a necklace. Work!"
