The King of Pop and his unlikely friend
As a young chimpanzee, Bubbles was raised in Michael Jackson’s care and spent his early years living closely alongside him. During this time, he became a highly visible part of Jackson’s world, appearing in music videos, films, and accompanying him on promotional appearances around the globe.
Thriller the tiger
A Bengal tiger named after Jackson’s legendary album Thriller lived at Neverland - he got the name after appearing on covers of selected versions of the 1983 LP - before being moved to a wildlife preserve. Another tiger, Sabu, was also housed at the ranch, adding to its surreal atmosphere.
Lovable llamas
Two llamas, Louie and Lola, became part of Neverland’s more whimsical and memorable animal residents.
Into the Wild
Giraffes such as Princess and Katie, along with an elephant named Ali, helped turn Neverland into a private safari-like environment.
The Exotic Collection
From Muscles the boa constrictor to Madonna the python, and from flamingos and parrots to deer and even an orangutan, Neverland’s collection reflected Michael Jackson’s fascination with animals in all their forms. It was part sanctuary, part spectacle.
