Meghan, Duchess of Sussex attends event for Godson without husband Prince Harry

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex made a solo trip to Chicago, Illinois to support her Godson at his first Communion service.

The former Suits star, 44, who lives in Montecito, California headed to Chicago over the weekend (02-03.05.26) to attend the special event marking a major milestone in the life of her Godson, who is the child of a friend she went to college with, according to PEOPLE.

The publication reports Meghan travelled to Chicago without her husband Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and attended the First Communion ceremony at the Holy Name Cathedral on Saturday (02.05.26).

Meghan's ties to the city date back to her stint at Chicago's Northwestern University, where she studied for a degree in theater and international studies between 1999 and her graduation in 2003.
