Karol G likes "bad guys" but she's going to have to "change that" if she wants her next relationship to succeed.

The 35-year-old singer is currently single and has no plans to start dating again any time soon because she's focused on her music - and she's confessed she needs to completely rethink her strategy when it comes to finding love.

During an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Karol was asked if she has a "type" and she replied: "I like the bad guy. A little bit. You know I have to change that ... I like the guy that's looks like he's from the neighbourhood and he's chill and yeah that's my type .. That's why [I'm single] ... "

When asked to describe her ideal first date, Karol added: "Take me to eat hot dogs, French fries, take me to the streets, the most dirty place in the world that makes me feel like I'm in the hood, like where you come from bad guy. And I love that ... I love bad guys. I'm f*****. "

Karol went on to insist she's very happy being on her own at the moment. When asked if she has any plans to start dating again, she said: "No, like I'm done for a while. I think I'm OK. Not in a bad way.

"I feel very special when I'm alone because it's when I focus more on myself and ... I'm liking it a lot to be this way right now. I'm not missing to be with someone [sic].

"I'm just enjoying having fun, being in my process with my music ... I just want to be back on tour with my fans because I'm missing them. I'm thinking more about that relationship ... "
