Alex Warren feared his "career was over" following his performance at the Grammy Awards.

The 25-year-old singer suffered technical issues during his performance at the recent awards ceremony, and Alex admitted to subsequently fearing for his future in the music industry.

He told People: "I was really surprised by so many people coming up to me that day."

Alex feared he might've been on the receiving end of a backlash following his chaotic performance. However, he found that fans and critics were far more sympathetic than he imagined.

He said: "I think when you're in these settings, and there's all these important people, you kind of just think ... I walk into that room, and I think everyone hates me for some reason."

Alex previously opened up about the situation on the Call Her Daddy podcast, when he described his Grammy experience as "horrifying".

The singer revealed that his rehearsals were "perfect" and that he's still dumbfounded by the situation.

He shared: "To this day, I don't know exactly what happened.

"They're like, '30 seconds,' and I said, 'I can't hear anything. I can't hear myself,' and the guy's like, 'It's live TV, 25 seconds,' and I go, 'Guys, something's wrong'. Something gets blasted into left ear, and right ear I hear nothing, and I go, 'Guys, I can't hear.’"
