Ed Sheeran and Bring Me The Horizon (2022)

Heavy metal group Bring Me The Horizon left the crowd and TV viewers shocked when they teamed up with pop superstar Ed Sheeran on a heavy version of his hit single Bad Habits.

Although unexpected, self-confessed metal fan Ed held his own with singer Oli Sykes.

They later released the new version as a single.

Dizzee Rascal and Florence and The Machine (2010)

A year after winning the BRITs Critics Choice award in 2009, Florence Welch returned to the BRITs to cover this Candi Staton classic with a rap twist from from London MC Dizzee Rascal.

The mix of Florence's haunting voice, the house beat and Dizzee's rapping produced the moment of the night.

Rihanna and Klaxons (2008)

Nobody expected Rihanna to go nu-rave when she teamed up with The Klaxons on a mash-up of their songs Umbrella and Golden Skans at the 2008 ceremony.

Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson (2008)

Amy Winehouse gave an unforgettable performance of Valerie with her friend and music producer Mark Ronson.

The pair were accompanied by an orchestra on their cover of The Zutons single.

Diana Ross and Jamiroquai (1997)

An unexpected collaboration saw Diana Ross team up with Jamiroquai for a high-energy rendition of her 1980 Motown classic Upside Down.
