Hans Zimmer declares that he is glad to be ‘back home’ in London

The Oscar-winning composer performed at Hans Zimmer Live – The Next Level at The O2 Arena on Monday night (01.12.25) and addressed the audience before performing a setlist of some of his most notable compositions.

Speaking to the crowd, he said: “I love being back, basically back home. Excuse the German accent but this is home.

“Doing the tour thing is really fun. It’s great, we get to play and we get to do the thing that we really love but there’s one thing that’s irreplaceable and that is sleeping in your own bed,

“knowing where the fridge is and going and raiding the fridge at four o’clock in the morning, all those things are actually very special.”

“I’m talking complete rubbish. London, it’s wonderful to be here. I brought you my favourite people, probably the best band that I can think of

“and I’m looking around and just making sure that I’m seeing this right.”

“It’s our second to last gig.”

“So let us do something slightly different.”

“This is the country-western punk version of Dune.”

The compositions played at the event included Hans' scores for films such as Dune, The Lion King, Interstellar, Gladiator, and many more.
