Singer Leona Lewis' daughter, Carmel Allegra, has motivated her to make a comeback with her first LP since 2015.
Leona Lewis feels she has a purpose in the music industry again since becoming a mum.
The 40-year-old singer - who has not released an LP since 2015's I Am, and focused on making Christmas songs - felt "disconnected" in her job for many years.
And since she and her husband, Dennis Jauch, welcomed their only child, a daughter named Carmel Allegra, three, into the world in July 2022, the Bleeding Love hitmaker has allowed Leona to sing "from that place of being open again".
The X Factor 2006 winner is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper's Wired column as saying: "I started getting into the studio last year. I have been working on music and figuring out what I want to say. What do I want to sing about? How do I want to be intentional and not add to the noise, but, hopefully, just bring something authentic and very me?"
