Lorde cancelled her concert in Luxembourg due to "ruthless food poisoning".

The New Zealand pop star was due to bring the Ultrasound World Tour to the city's Rockhal venue on Sunday night (09.11.25).

On the day of the gig, the Green Light hitmaker took to social media to announce the cancellation, claiming she could "hardly stand up" and was feeling "very weak" after suffering a nasty bout of food poisoning.

She wrote on her Instagram Stories: "Luxembourg I'm so sorry to have to tell you that I came down with ruthless food poisoning last night and am still too sick to play for you today.

"I've been resting all day hoping I'd be well enough but I can hardly stand up and you deserve more."

She went on: "I can't tell you how much I was looking forward to it: our first ever Lux show, first night of Ultrasound EU and our one show with (French musician) Oklou, it's beyond gutting.

"Please know that if there was any way I could pull it off, I'd be out there. Love from a very weak girl."

The artist is working with her team to reschedule the concert.

Lorde is next due onstage in Paris on Monday night (10.11.25).

Meanwhile, Lorde recently vowed not to leave fans waiting another four years for her next album.

The Royals hitmaker returned in June with her fourth studio LP, Virgin, the follow-up to 2021's Solar Power.

Lorde insists she doesn't envisage needing to "take a break from being creative" anytime soon, and she is excited to see the direction her music takes next.

She told Variety: “I mean, I’m excited to find out.

“I’m definitely feeling very active and not needing a break from being creative. I’m feeling kind of insatiable, to be honest. So I don’t know, but I’ve thrown the gauntlet down that it’s not going to be four years [again], so I’ve gotta keep to that.”
