Boy George busted out his moves, twerking and dancing along to a live bhangra band during a spectacular Christmas lights switch-on at the London Eye on Tuesday night (04.11.25).
The event, held ahead of the UK cinema release of the Bollywood-inspired musical Christmas Karma on 14th November, brought together the film’s cast and crew for London’s first major festive celebration of the season.
Stars Pixie Lott, Billy Porter, Kunal Nayyar, Malkit Singh, and director Gurinder Chadha joined Boy George to flip the switch on the iconic landmark, which was transformed into a glittering red-and-green Christmas wreath in collaboration with Visit London and True Brit Entertainment.
Crowds gathered on the South Bank to enjoy a live performance from the bhangra band featured in the film, celebrating London’s multicultural music scene and the festive spirit.
Set against a modern musical retelling of A Christmas Carol, the film features an original soundtrack blending bhangra, gospel, Christmas carols, rap, and pop, with contributions from Gary Barlow, Nitin Sawhney, Shaznay Lewis, and Malkit Singh.
The switch-on marked a dazzling start to the holiday season, highlighting London’s vibrant, inclusive culture.
