From eerie footsteps to ghostly shadows, even the rich and famous aren’t safe from things that go bump in the night. Whether it’s mischievous spirits, phantom children, or unexplained chills, these stars claim their lavish homes come with… supernatural tenants. Some have moved out, others learned to live with their ghosts — but all have a story that’ll send shivers down your spine.

During her Bangerz era, Miley Cyrus revealed that her London apartment was haunted. She told Elle: “One night my little sister started screaming. She was standing in the shower and all of a sudden the hot water turned to freezing cold. It was terrifying. I thought I had seen a little boy sitting on the sink watching her.” She moved out soon after.

Ever the eccentric, Nicolas Cage once owned the infamous LaLaurie Mansion in New Orleans, dubbed one of America’s most haunted homes. He told Vanity Fair: “I bought it as a curiosity but I didn’t stay there long.” The 19th-century property was once home to socialite and serial torturer Madame Delphine LaLaurie. Cage sold the house after claiming it had “bad energy.”

Supermodel Kendal Jenner - who grew up with the rest of the Kardashian clan in momager Kris Jenner's house - was convinced it was haunted after some unexplainable encounters.

She said: "I do believe in ghosts. I don't know if I've ever seen one, but I've experienced some pretty ghost-y situations. In the house my mom lives in, Kylie and I would always hear footsteps on the roof while no one was home. Kylie's shower used to turn on all the time and we never knew why. So yeah, I'm convinced it was a ghost."

When 'Friends' star Jennifer Aniston first moved to LA she rented a haunted apartment which required her to call in a ghost expert.

She said: "All of the sudden things started to [happen]. This dishwasher would start to go, or the coffee maker would start to go, or the stereo would just turn on at full volume. And it was terrifying.

"[The ghost] hated my roommate. I moved out. I feel terrible, but I couldn't say, 'It doesn't like you.' I mean, that would be terrible."

It was model behaviour from Gigi Hadid, who chose to befriend the ghost haunting her childhood home in Pennsylvania.

She said: We had one weird house where my sister Bella and I would hear footsteps and see shadows. We made friends with the ghosts. We’d say, ‘Hey, please don’t scare us, we just want to go to sleep.’”
