Bill Kaulitz revealed to his fans that he regularly forgets the lyrics to his older songs.

The singer performed with his band Tokio Hotel on Monday (March 24) at the Hammersmith Apollo in London and thrilled the audience with many of the group’s early tracks. Alongside new songs, the band – consisting of Tom Kaulitz, Georg Listing, and Gustav Schäfer – also played hits like 'Spring nicht' ('Don’t Jump') from 2007 and 'Rette mich' ('Rescue Me') from their debut album 'Schrei', released in 2005.

Although most Tokio Hotel songs exist in versions in both languages and the band primarily performs in English nowadays, Bill sang these old tracks in German for the devoted fans who have been supporting the band for 20 years. However, he admitted that he hadn’t done that in a while and was a bit rusty when it came to remembering the words: "Sometimes I have to Google my own lyrics. Is that weird?"

Throughout the evening – during which Bill made four costume changes, starting with an angel outfit featuring blood-red wings – he kept joking around with the crowd. He spotted numerous fan signs in the audience and even had one handed to him on stage. When asked to draw something on it, he joked to bassist Georg: "What should I draw? I could draw Georg's p*nis – that would be small and easy."
