Shaun Ryder and Bez launched their new single with their super group Mantra of the Cosmos in London on Tuesday night (21.01.25) without drummer Zak Starkey, who had to pull out of a planned performance due to illness.

Happy Mondays stars Shaun Ryder and Bez launched their new single with their super group Mantra of the Cosmos in London on Tuesday night (21.01.25).
The two friends celebrated the release of their collaborative single ‘Domino Bones (Get Dangerous)’, which also features Noel Gallagher, at the Karma Sanctum Soho hotel with Shaun and Bez signing vinyl copies of the record and meeting fans and media.
Shaun and Bez were due to perform with bandmates Andy Bell and Zak Starkey, but the latter musician – the son of Beatles drummer Sir Ringo Starr – had to pull out after being diagnosed with a blood clot in his right leg.
But the pair stepped on stage to address the crowd – which included rocker Yungblud – to talk about the psychedelic group’s recent gigs at Liverpool’s Cavern Club, the venue were The Beatles made their name and wish drummer Zak well.
