Wallis Day is “really grateful” to still have modelling “on the back burner”.
The ‘Batwoman’ actress began her career in fashion when she was just 13 years old and during the Hollywood strikes of 2023, she was relieved to have another career option to fall back on so she could still pick up work.
She told HELLO! Fashion magazine: “When the strikes were happening in Hollywood, a lot of people in my line of work were like, what do we do now? We’re not qualified to do anything else.
“So I’m really grateful to have modelling there on the back burner and to be able to lean into it now and really do it full time again alongside acting.”
Wallis divides her time between London and Los Angeles and loves both for different reasons.
She said: “London and LA have my heart for different reasons and LA is a place I go for work.
“It has this creative energy and it’s magnetic. Some of my best friends are here.
“But it’s when you start to lose the fact things are too LA and you get back to London and you’re like, ‘Ah, this is normal.”
And Wallis has learned not to “chase perfection”, despite the pressures of the industry.
She said: “I think I’m learning to not try and chase perfection, which is really hard to do in this industry.
“I do feel like there’s not enough support out there for everyone in the industry.
“I try to stick with the fact that I’m enough. I’ve learned to embrace every part of this weird and wonderful journey.
