Veronica Berti Bocelli fell for husband Andrea Bocelli after he courted her for just "two-and-a-half minutes".

The beautiful brunette first met the 'Time to Say Goodbye' singer at a party in 2001 and she realised he was the man for her after just a brief conversation with him.

Veronica admits she fell in love instantly and the couple soon moved in with one another.

Recalling their first meeting, and making a sweet reference to the fact Andrea is blind, she said: "Someone must have told him I was a good-looking girl, so he came to me and introduced himself. I told him, 'Maestro, it’s an honour to meet you.'"

Revealing how long he wooed her, she added: "Two-and-a-half minutes. We moved in together briefly after we met. I follow my instincts, I take decisions very rapidly. They are not always the right decisions though, that is a flow of mine. Luckily, that time it was."

Andrea, 65, and Veronica, 40, eventually married in March 2014 at the Sanctuary of Montenero in the coastal town of Livorno, Italy. They have a 12-year-old daughter Veronica together, whilst the Italian tenor has two sons Amos, 29, and Matteo, 26, with his first wife Enrica Cenzatti.
