Lenny Kravitz has shut down wild rumours he was on board the fatal Learjet plane crash over the weekend.

On Sunday (01.11.26), it was revealed nine people had died after a Learjet 60 crashed into a mobile home park in the Greenacres area of Palm Beach County, Florida after setting off from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport towards the Bahamas.

There was speculation Kravitz was among the passengers, whose identities were not initially publicly confirmed, after a female pilot called Emily Shelton said on Facebook that she was "looking forward" to having him on board.

Shelton was wrongly identified as the pilot of the crashed jet, which sparked rumours Kravitz was on the plane.

Google's Knowledge Panel also showed he had died in West Palm Beach, but this now looks to have been amended.

Speaking to Florida's BocaNewsNow, Kravitz's representative said: "The reports are untrue and incorrect."

Meanwhile, Shelton has taken to TikTok to clarify she wasn't involved in the crash.

She said: "I was recently made aware that there are rumours that I was the pilot of the recent crash in Palm Beach. I would like to respectfully clarify I was not.

"I ask that people please stop speculating and spreading misinformation on this tragedy and be respectful of those involved.

"My heart goes out to all those lost and affected.”

Footage of the tragedy has spread on social media, with dashcam footage showing the moment the plane crashed.

There has also been audio of what is thought to be a female pilot making a distress call to Air Traffic Controllers.

She seems to say that the jet was "descending 10,000 feet per minute" before the crash.

She added: "We are in an overspeed condition descending 20,000 feet per minute... We're gonna crash. We're out of time."

Florida governor Ron DeSantis described the incident as "like a missile coming down and a massive explosion, debris going everywhere".

He told reporters: "To have those people on board, it’s really a tragic way to see people pass away.”

Meanwhile, Palm Beach County Commissioner Joel Flores has revealed that shelters are in place for people whose homes are affected by the aftermath of the accident.

He said: "Unfortunately, that's a crime scene. They're investigating that, so the people can't stay there."]
