Melrose Place's Grant Show was once bitten by a fan's jealous boyfriend.

The woman's partner made it clear he was unhappy with the attention she was giving the actor, who played bad boy Jake Hanson on the Fox soap from 1992 until 1997, during an encounter at a nightclub.

During a panel alongside his co-stars Daphne Zuniga (Jo Reynolds), Laura Leighton (Sydney Andrews), Heather Locklear (Amanda Woodward), Rob Estes (Kyle McBride) and Jack Wagner (Dr. Peter Burns) at 90s Con 2026 in Hartford, Connecticut, on October 18, a fan asked the cast about memorable moments with other people who loved the show.

And Grant, 64, recalled: "It wasn’t a fan, but I was at a nightclub. It was a couple sitting behind me. She was a fan of the show and a fan of Jake’s, and she kept paying a lot of attention to me.

"I turned around, and I could tell that her boyfriend was really not very happy about me. I did what I would do, which was introduce myself to him and try to give him a lot of attention."

The entertainer, who has been married to The Pitt's Katherine LaNasa, 59, since August 2012, reached out for a handshake, and said: "'My name is Grant. What’s your name?'

"He took my hand, bit it. So I took my hand back."

After Heather, 65, joked that he "has such big hands", Grant quipped: "Big hands, big feet, big disappointment."

Melrose Place followed a group of young adults who live in the title apartment complex in West Hollywood, and it ran from July 1992 until May 1999.

And Rob, 63, said his "favourite, romantic or sexual scene" was with Heather, before correcting himself to say it "was Amanda".

During the panel, he added: "I already had a crush on Heather and Amanda. It was just funny that was her. It was cool too because, back then, I think it was a little more relaxed. Like we’d have fun and joke, and it’s like now is a different time.

"Now there’s a lot of people on set that, you know, things happen a certain way, and fair enough. I think we were all so comfortable with each other, so for a lot of the love scenes...it was just fun."
