Rosalía's 'number one priority' after finishing her six-month tour
Rosalía has been on the road for the past six months on her Lux tour, which came to a close on September 16, and told Harper’s Bazaar magazine that being away from her nearest and dearest for that long has been particularly difficult.
Rosalía’s “number one priority” when she finishes her tour is to go home and see her family.
The 33-year-old singer has been on the road for the past six months on her Lux tour, which came to a close on September 16, and told Harper’s Bazaar magazine that being away from her nearest and dearest for that long has been particularly difficult.
Asked what she’s going to do post tour, Rosalía, who is from Sant Esteve Sesrovires, a town near Barcelona, replied: “I really want to go back home and see my family. That’s my priority number one. “It’s been really challenging to do a show every night in different countries. I want to finish it in the best way possible, and then we’ll see.”
Rosalía also opened up about her pre-show rituals that she does every time she takes to the stage.
She mused: “I hope euphoria can come while I'm on stage. So before going on stage, I need the opposite. That's why I go for candles; I meditate, I move.
“There’s something about meditation and movement that instantly connects me. If there’s space, I do free movement. For meditation, I usually just look at the candle. Then, praying and letting go.”
The singer, who is also a Calvin Klein fragrance ambassador, added that scents are so important to her that she also wants fans in the audience to experience them too.
She explained: “While I perform, there’s also this smoke dispenser that moves from side to side, and there’s a palo santo smell in it for the audience to also experience.”
As well as being an award-winning singer, Rosalía made her acting debut earlier this year in the Zendaya-fronted show Euphoria, and said she “learned so much because of the people that I was surrounded by”.
She gushed: “They are very experienced; they go in and out of scenes so easily, gracefully, and with so much ease. You can tell that they don’t give more effort than what is needed.
“I think that there's such beauty in that art, and I want to learn that and master it.”
